You're passionate about native Android app development and up-to-date with the latest trends and innovations in Kotlin, Android, and native app user experience. About the role

You will be working closely with magicians - our other engineers, product and design team as well as backend and web front-end engineers to implement efficient and reliable solutions that deliver exceptional user experiences. The product is currently in private beta, so it’s early stage, but no Greenfield project. You will be required to quickly familiarise yourself and become proficient with the codebase and architecture asap.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of native Android and Kotlin app development
  • At least two apps published on the Google Play Store
  • Experience with Jetpack Compose libraries in production apps
  • Knowledge of Material Design principles for mobile applications
  • Expertise in build automation with Gradle and CI/CD pipelines for app deployment
  • Proficiency in automated testing (e.g., JUnit or Espresso) and Test-Driven Development (TDD) principles

Desirable /Bonus skills

  • Experience with GraphQL and Apollo Android client
  • Proficiency in modularising Android apps using Gradle modules
  • Familiarity with Protocol Buffers (Protobuf)
  • Background in developing e-commerce or social networking applications
  • Enthusiasm for ML, LLMs or other AI technologies
  • Well-rounded development experience, including full-stack, iOS, or web technologies
